What happens next ?
Well please excuse my lack of knowledge.
I got myself all excited today. Plugged in my Sky router and it sync'ed. Couldnt' connect however (thats the message I got whilst intalling the software. I am however still able to connect to my BT Broadband using my BT Voyager router.
My activation date is 'by 21st Sept according to the letter, coupled with some advice to 'give it a go' from time to time to see if its connected by then.
So, how does this migration process work ?. Will I loose my BT broadband connection first (ceased) and then get my Sky connection (provided) within a few hours after that and on the same day ?
I still have nothing on the BT order tracking...should there be? and ....who is the best place to ring to see where my order progress is at (sky or BT provisioning or Bt wholesale...just who...I ask ?

Welcome to the site Sky's The Limit
You have no need to apologise for your lack of knowledge everyone has to learn at sometime and asking question has always been the best way of doing it
Now the router will sync if you connect it to your currant ISP but if you look in the log you will see the login errors, at least you know the router is working
If you have the 21st as your activation date and its not showing up on the BT checker yet it may happen then or it may be delayed hard to tell, but yes when they make the change you over depending on which service you have chosen it could take anything for a few minutes to 2 hours.Ray
Some Advice.. Its always advisable to inform your old ISP as soon as you have migrated that you have moved.
If you would like to know the straight line distance to your exchange then
Would you like an idea of the possible speeds you will get with the Max Package then click here or for the Connect Package then click here

Hey thanks for that Wheelie,
I opted for the Mid package at £5.00 p/m...sure will beat the £26.99 I have been paying to BT for a 1MB service (best I ever got due to location)" A man is as young as the woman he feels "
