      it's not ideal to leave it there - do you have any extentions? if so, they should be dead as they run off the faceplate. you can get a replacement faceplate from ADSLNation - I have one - and they're great...

      Your NR is very low, take your stats from the test socket, you will probably find that it is much higher.

      The older type BT ADSL faceplate was designed for the then highspeed of 512kbps and will not perform efficiently with the speed you have now. Apart from this, everything except strads and good whisky, deteriorate with age and start to fail. Replace it with an ADSL Nation faceplate and your troubles will be over.

      I put my money on a shot of WD40 in the test socket and the filter sockets. Works wonders.
