For those of you that are spending hours waiting on the end of the phone just to order Sky Broadband, then why not try this.

Ring the Sky Digital TV Subsricptions number instead. tell em your frustrated because you spent HOURS !! on the end of the phone to Sky Broadband but could'nt get through to order it.

Tell subsrciptions that you are going to cancel your Sky Digital TV subscription because thats how cheesed off you are.

I reckon that they will get you through like a shot rather than loose your 40 per month for Sky digital TV.

      Might be worth a shot.

      Doubt if they will somehow.

When my whole Sky Digital set up went wrong (sky box and the dish LNB) SkY tries to flog me a new one complete with a 65 installation charge.

I said "no thanks, I didnt intend to spend any more than I was already spending on top of my monthly sky subsription". I said that "seeing that I was now paying for a service I cannot watch I may as well cancell my subscription. The adviser said "hang on, lets see what I can do !"

Lo-and behold, they sent an installation engineer (on a Sunday too) who bought with him a whole new system of which he installed for free.

      Didn't cost me a jot !! . (The power of a 40 subscription huh)

Even if Sky gave you 12 months of free subscriptions to TV etc, it costs them nothing to do this. You yourself just feel better because your perception of saving 12 x 40.00 is a lot of money and you are better off. Sky are going to broadcast them channels anyway, with or without you watching.

Sky are acting on their critiscm, they have a long way to go, but i can name one other major ISP that has only just started listening after 2 years. Probably because they are losing too many customers to Sky!

It all depends on your morals, if you want to deceive Sky and try to beat them best of luck to you, personnally i couldn't be bothered. I registered for Sky about 3 weeks ago and aint had my band code or my promised phonecall, or email within 2 days. But i am certainly not gonna put them down for it.

If Sky do want to sign me up, they have my details, in the meantime i will stay on my poor quality, ever changing 24 a month Freedom 2 Surf account.

PS Sky - you can pm me if you want to sign me up quicker say no more nudge nudge

It is just another postcode lottery , or at least proximity to an easynet LLU enabled exhange, as to who gets sky broadband first . And they are staggering the sign ups to allow BT to keep up with the demand, but you'll get the sky email for invite to activation in the end, just a matter of time .

We were told weeks ago that the preference was for LLU connections first, by a member of staff
