      Need Help

      I am fuming
We signed up for £5 BB a year ago and for a year have had to ring every month because they charged £17 and again today
Hubby rings and is told the £5 BB isn't available in our area.............never was..............and they have honoured it for a year now it is £17 tough.

It is available when you do a postcode search so how can they get away with lying?????

      Re: Need Help

Sky Broadband options for your telephone number Testing your line shows it should support broadband speeds of up to 4.5 Mb*

Great news, you are in a Sky Broadband area. You can choose between Max, Mid or Base broadband products.

      Re: Need Help

It may be that your exchange is LLU ready but has no capacity, therefor until there is space you have to use Connect @£17 per month. Until Sky upgrade the equipment you will continue to pay that. If you have been with them 12 months or more you can cancel, that is your way out of the billing issue.

      Re: Need Help

If you've been with Sky for over a year, don't want to pay £17 and Sky won't move you to an LLU product... you could always go elsewhere.

      Re: Need Help

The price of £17 for connect normally means that sky ill not be able to offer you their LLU service for quiet a while yet. If it was immenient then they would have quoted you £5

      Re: Need Help

As has been mentioned if you have competed your 12 months you can leave without penalty. I have not checked the T &Cs, but I think you have to give 30 days notice. I am not too clear but have you actually been paying £5 a month up till now and now they want to charge you £17?

Phoning Customer Relations and stating your case, ie you were promised LLU and it is available on your exchange, may get you somewhere. Phoning the normal Broadband help is a waste of time and money in your case, as they can do nothing.

      Re: Need Help

      Thanks for the replies
Yes they charged £17 then refunded £12 for about 6 months then they stopped
We phoned and complained they apologised and we had to do it every month
2 days ago hubby phoned again and they said TOUGH we are now charging you £17
When I check my number and postcode they offer all the options and even say IF they can't do them I can have connect for £5 this is the blurb...........
Sky Broadband Base, Mid and Max are available for you to buy. If youíre unable to complete your order now (for example if you donít have your MAC to hand), when you come back to complete your order, your exchange may have run out of space. If this happens, we will be able to offer you Sky Broadband Connect at the offer price of £5 a month. Sky Broadband Connect has speeds of up to 8Mb usage limits of 40GB.** Your phone line can support download speeds of up to 4 Mb...............

How do I phone customer relations?
