      I got identical results by hardwiring the extension I plug my router into with cat5e cable from the master. Mines about 15m away. If you want some I can post you some - I get it foc from work.

      Re: Connection dropping

      Hi Lewie,

      as i thought (but wanted to check), you have a fair few errors
      Latest 15 minutes time = 7 min 33 sec
      SF = 26642
      CRC = 2453
      LOS = 0
      LOF = 0
      ES = 184
      when you get set up with the new faceplate, run the same programme and you should see far fewer (if any) errors.

      hope all goes well when fitting, hope you come back and let us know how it went (and how happy you kids are )

      Re: Connection dropping

      So do you suggest I just replace my faceplate and keep my connection as it is.
      Thanks both for you help and i will return and comment when I have fitted the new faceplate.
      As you probably know,the kids will never be happy

      Yes, see how it goes with the faceplate filter.
      The big advantage of faceplate filters is that the prevent noise from your internal wiring from causing problems with Broadband. The extension lead from your router to the filter is not ideal, but not many things in life are!! so see how you go, and if you feel flush sometime you can look at it then (you could always sell the kids for medical expereriments)

      So if i bought the asdlnation faceplate I can do away with the filter and plug my rj11 directly into the adsl socket on the faceplate?
