      Accessing my old webspace

I have several old freeserve/wanadoo/orange usernames and I used the free webspace that came with them to host files.
Since I switched to Sky I can no longer connect to these sites using Cute Ftp.
I'm not sure what the problem is, so I tried enabling port forwarding using the user guide on here. However, I fall at the first hurdle: "Check that the web server is accessible internally by pointing a browser at it's internal (NOT external) address: http://192.168.0.2. If that doesn't work, fix the web server before continuing."
I don't know how to fix the web server.

It may not even be this that I need to do, so can anyone help?

You shouldn't need to use any port forwarding if you are trying to reach an external FTP website. We certainly don't for maintaining SkyUser.

Have Orange deleted your old account?

      Are your websites still there?

All the accounts are now pay as you go and the site are still there and the files are all still accessible.

I could be wrong here but you may not be able to FTP your Orange site using another ISP. I used to have an ntl: web site but could only FTP to it from my ntl: broadband connection and not from work or anywhere else.

I still have a "free" Tiscali site, but the only way I can FTP to that is using my Tiscali dial-up connection so I do not bother!

You may find you have to use Orange Pay & Go dial up if there is such a thing?

I suspected that may be the problem, but thought I'd ask just in case I was missing something with the router I now have. I'll try it with dial up as soon as I can be bothered. Thanks!

Just tried it with dial up and got on straight away.
