The master "old type" will be the same but with some extra components on the PCB. But disconnect them orange wires in "ALL" sockets, they are not required and will cause problems with the broadband. Only pins 2 and 5 need to be connected.

      Re: Hey!

I think Brian will confirm that you only need the wires connected to pins 2 & 5. I am assuming that the socket in the photo is definetely the first one connected to bt's drop wire and not an extension wired from the master. Either way I'm sure you dont need the other two wires and they can act as an ariel for interference. You could try carefully removing them from ( not cutting them out with snips ) and see if things improve. That way you could reinstate them if it causes problems elsewhere.

      Re: Hey!

      Hi Hey.
The pics are a big help, you only need connections to 2 and 5 on the socket. You can disconnect the orange wire connected to 3.
As has been said, be gentle with them and be careful not to disturbe the connections to 2 and 5.
Do you have any extension sockets? . If so just open them and check that they contain on components, (they should look like the one in your first picture early in the thread). You do not need to remove any wires at the extensions, just the one to 3 at the master.

      Re: Hey!

Have you checked all your sockets to ensure that only the master has components in it.?
