      Re: Dead Connection reboot

I am stating that when it hits 5pm my connection goes dead, and then I have to reboot the router again to get up and running, which is very annoyining doing it every single day.

does your house alarm have a telephone monitoring connection? If it does it hasnt got a filter and it could be that dropping your connection. Or it may just be your local exchange gets really busy at thta time, rebooting a router once a day is no great issue IMHO

      Re: Dead Connection reboot

I have to agree with Koala, there is no way plugging into the Test socket will slow your connection down. If it does there is something wrong with your house wiring. If you have the white router, your profile doesn't say, post your full detailed stats after running about 3 hours in your normal position, then 3 hours plugged in to the Test socket. If you have one of the newer routers, do the same, but just post the basic stats, someone may be able to interpret them.
