One of the things that cause this is a pop up blocker. If you have one try disabling it when you access the site. It might not help, but you could also try turning off script debugging. In IE click Tools>Internet options>Advanced scroll down and tick both instances of 'Disable Script Debugging'

What happens, do you get an error message when you try to install Flash?

It brings you onto the main page then you click on install then it opens a new window which states the it should ony take a few minutes however nothing happens. Also when I try to access my internet banking via nationwide the page doesn't load hence why I thought I had a spyware virus!!!

If you don't already have it, try installing FireFox. This would at least let you know whether it is something wrong with your system or the browser. Save the file to your desktop, then double click to install it.

If there is any possibility you have virus, it is better to stay away from your bank. I take it you have run AV and come up clean? It may be advisable to run a dedicated TrojanHunter This is a free trial, but it is full and will scan and remove most trojans. You should also run a dedicated Spyware tool. Superantispyware is very good and will find and remove all sorts of nasties.

That is good to hear! If you have IE7, try going to Tools>Internet Options>Advanced tab and click the Reset button at the bottom. If you are still on IE6, you should upgrade asap as this version is not now supported.

      3. Click on the Security tab.
      4. Click on Custom Level.
      5. Scroll down until you see section labeled Scripting.
