      ADSL2+ 16mb -Max ???Connection Help

      Can anyone help - point me in the right direction.
      I joined skybroadband on Max product end of Jan. Since then I have checked my speed states a fair few times and appear to be getting constant 7.0-7.5mb download.

      My router stats are :
      Connection Speed
      Downstream 8096 kbps
      Upstream 768 kbps

      Line Attenuation
      Downstream 29.0 db

      Noise Margin
      Downstream 13.9 db

      From what I can gather, attenuation suggests I should be able to obtain 12-16mb down, however I notice the downstream connection speed is always stating 8096 -does this suggest my line is not ADSL2+ and / or my Sagem router is or isnt upto the job ?

      Any guidence would be great - cus im a bit confused !!

      Your linespeed has been fixed at a maximum of 8Mb.
      You'll need to contact Sky and have the limit removed.

      you will; need to ring sky, speak to T1 and ask to be put through to CST
      you may have a bit of trouble getting past T1 but do keep cool if they ask loads of questions it may take a while but you do need to speak to CST
      CST will be able to change your connection (or advise why you are on the speed you are)

      you could also send an email via the sky website giving them the same info as you put here, may save a phone bill and, would take a couple of days this way
