      Leaving in Contract

Searched and couldnt find a definitive answer, but if i've missed it then i apologise.

So yeah, what's sky's policy on leaving while in contract? Will i need to pay off what i owe on the contract? Or does something tell me its a set fee? Or am i just imagining things =p

      Thanks in advance

You'll need to continue paying and then ring them up once the 12 months are up to stop the payments.

      Re: Leaving in Contract

I can't remember the exact date, but SKY changed our T&C's recently and so anybody who joined before that date is not obliged to complete their contract. Hopefully someone else may remember when that happened as I do recall there being some posts on here about it, but I can't find them at the moment.

I think you may be referring to the change of email which allowed you to leave within the contract period. Unfortunately, I think this had to be done within a month of the change.

      (d) To end this Contract under Condition 11(c), you must give us at least seven daysí notice within one calendar month of receipt of any notice from us.
I don't think there is anything specific about 'paying off' a contract, but if you request a MAC and use it to move to another supplier, there is not much Sky can do about it, except require payment for the remaining period of the contract. In the past they have asked for the return of the router from those leaving, which is another story.

      Re: Leaving in Contract

you are, though, in a contract and to break said contract would need payment to cover time - same if leaving a mobile phone company mid-contract...
