Some Advice.. Its always advisable to inform your old ISP as soon as you have migrated that you have moved.

      Hi, newbie here.
Just a quick question - my activation was due yesterday but has still not happened.
Checking the BT order tracker I get the message "We weren't able to retrieve your order information. This could be a temporary system issue, please try again later. "

Bearing in mind everyone elses experience at delays in activation, any suggestions as to how long to leave it before phoning SKY to check why I haven't been activated? I just can't be bothered to sit on hold on the phone and pay the call prices when I know what the probable answer will be.

      Cheers

      Clive

Ok, so if I get this message, what's the next step - phone SKY?

"ADSL is activated on this line and there are no open orders on the BT system. (Migrations excluded)"

Well phoned SKY (only 15 minutes on hold - impressed!), to be told that they were still waiting for BT to activate my line and it's in the backlog.

The customer rep also said to phone them back and have a go at them in a couple of days if it's still not working. !

And then I came home today and had a shock!

Message from Sky BB on the answer phone advising that due to a problem on the local exchange my activation will be delayed by 4 to 5 working days, and that BT engineers are working as hard as possible to get it rectified.

An unsolicited phone call from Sky BB!
