You may get a result from an email, but you would probably be better phoning. Politely explain that you believe you have been put on the wrong product by BT and want a check made. If T1 do not pass you to the CST, insist that you be allowed to speak to a supervisor or manager. If they still refuse, ask for their name and work number as you wish to make a complaint. This threat might get you passed up the chain. If this does not work, hang up and ring back in the hope that you get someone who can help you They are there, it is just difficult to find them at times.

thank you for all your help but my step dad has decided he wants to cancel and go to Be/O2 broadband.

i phoned them and after more than an hour waiting to be redirected we gave up.

      phoning Be now.

      thanks everyone.

Pity, BT have succeeded in removing another customer from Sky, I'm just glad you are not going to them. Sky will definitely have to get to grips with BT about this problem, you are only one of many.
