^^^ Your line length to the exchange is around 4.25 km and the speed you are getting is actually very good for this attenuation. If your connection is stable I would count your blessings as it is probably about as good as it gets.

      Re: Can I Get Faster?

i wish i could figure all this out, as my line is supposedly 1.84km from exchange, yet i've only been getting 1508kbps max downstream speed and 60dB line atten, with 7dB noise margin (puzzled)

Your line isnt always straight line distance from the exchange to your house, its usually laid around things, For example theres a railway line between me and my exchange, so my line has to go the long way round

      What you complaining about
Wish I could get that sort of speed
Line attenuation 57db and I get around 2.5mb (2500 kbps) and around 340 kbps up.
I did used to get around the 4000 kbps but line used to drop out all the time.
For some reason now the best I can get is 2700 kbps at quiet times.
