      Auto Migration Connect ---> Mid

      Hello Everyone,

I signed up for Sky TV / BB in November and was advised that although my exchange is enabled for sky services that there is currently no available space in the exchange. I therefore signed up for Connect at 5 a month and was advised that I would be Auto Migrated over to Mid and sent a Letter to advise me of this once there was available space.

My Mate on the same exchange as me has just signed up for sky BB and has gone straight on mid! So I know there is space on the exchange.

Called Up Sky to ask them what was going on and was advised that there was available space but they could do nothing as it was an automated system and that I needed to first receive the letter

Has anyone else experienced anything similar? It was a few weeks ago when my mate checked there BB options and was advised that all LLU was available.

Keen to get onto LLU in the hope it improved my Target Noise Margin from 12 to 6 and therefore line speed.

      Thanks,

      Michael

I used to work for Broadband technical support; there is a bulk migration team. Call the Broadband Provisioning team and request they send an e-form to get you upgraded.

Use the KANA Form and remind them every couple of days that you are still waiting to be switched. Don't waste money on phone calls

Both mine and my brothers exchanges were unbundled on the same day, I was moved from Connect to Mid the very next day while my brother was done a month or so later. He never called them about it but he was moved over so they will not have forgotten about you, or at least they shouldn't have done.

They're done in batches and generally theres no 'queue' skipping unless you find a CS agent who's willing to put the upgrade through themselves.

      Hello Everyone,

I was Migrated over a few days ago and all has gone well

I'm now syncing at about 1200kbps more than connect which has made me a very happy customer

One thing which is a shame is that the upload im getting in now only 384kbps which is not the max 416kbps possible on mid? I do upload a fair bit of uploading pictures / websites etc so am considering going max, would this increase my upload if its not already running at the max it can? Don't want to upgrade only to see no diff other than the 5 from my pocket...

      Stats are as follows:

An unhealthily large number of CRC errors there, but I see you're still running the V1.02.28 firmware. You really ought to upgrade that.

Re: Auto Migration Connect ---> Mid

You would get a bit more upload speed, probably not the full 768 available, but more than you have now. Apart from that, the only other benefit would be the unlimited download, your download speed would not increase.

Upgrade your firmware as advised by James, you might find your upload will increase a bit, as your connection should be more stable, but there is no guarantee.

I am not sure if reducing the upload makes a bit more available for download and vice-versa.
