      hi Gorilla,

      Welcome to the forum

could you post the stats from your router (connection/attenuation/noise margin)

are you wired or wirless ?
also best place to check maximum speed will be from your "test" socket (see first link in my sig

      Re: Max Speed

      Here are the stats:

Connection Speed: Down: 4000 kbps Up: 384 kbps
Line Attenuation: Down: 52.0 db Up: 31.5 db
Noise Margin: Down: 4.7 db Up:14.0 db

Its a wireless router but i disabled the wireless option because my pc hasn't got the wireless hardware installed. right now im wired.

i also got another problem with my connection, most of the time when i turn the computer on, i get two network connections at the sametime and i'm un able to connect to the internet until one of the networks is disabled. any solutions or reasons why my computer connects to two networks at the same time. Please help.

      Re: Max Speed

What OS are you using? If you have Internet Connection Sharing, turn it off, it is not required and can cause problems.

As a last resort, go to the Device Manager and uninstall the Network adapter, reboot and reinstall it using the latest drivers. When it has reinstalled, leave all the settings on at default.
