      If you cannot fight your way through to customer support, give up and e-mail your request. I have found this the most effective.

      hey guys!
      thaught i would give you an update!
      talked to a guy today he had no idea what to do so i said dont worry
      and rang up again and luckily i got some one who knew waht they were doing
      i told him about the speeds i am getting
      and how i should be capable of recieving more
      and he gave me a open ticket to the next support team
      still awaiting a call back
      says should be within 48hours!!

      they still have not phoned me back
      but today when i logged in to my router
      it now says

      ADSL Link Downstream Upstream
      Connection Speed 6144 kbps 768 kbps
      Line Attenuation 18.0 db 10.0 db
      Noise Margin 17.3 db 14.0 db


      my noise margin has increased!
      and my conenction speed has lowered!

      any one have any idea whats going on?

      Looks like Sky have got the wrong end of the stick and capped your speed. You need to get back on to them, If I were you, I'd e-mail. This is the trouble when you deal with a script based help line, they can only transfer up the food chain if your request fits into one of their reasons. So they take what you want and make it fit one of their reasons to transfer. Looks like they got it wrong.

      It looks like Sky have capped you for being cheeky enough to ask for what you are entitled to. What do your detailed stats report now?

      its an auto-regrade script that picks up all tickets opened for 'slow connection'...unless dealt with by an agent this will always happen...
