      Question Constantly Losing Connection

Hi, I have been with sky for about a year now. I have been quite happy with the service up until the last week.
Everything was fine until I had to disconnect the router for a couple of hours whilst decorating.
Since re-booting that day I have had constant connection problems. I seem to lose connection at least once every hour.
I have tried turning off upnp to no avail. i can't understand why this has happened after a year of consistent connection.
I have 3 PCs attached by wireless cards and 2 xbox 360s one wireless one ethernet.
Any help or ideas would be appreciated?

      Re: Constantly Losing Connection

where do you plug your router in ? if in an extention, you've not damaged some part while moving things ?
(it would show in your detailed stats, see second link in my sig and look for the mognuts utility)

if not the above, is the router/ariel in the same position and have you put any new electrical items in the house or near the router

      Re: Constantly Losing Connection

I don't know if this will help, but I had this problem last year and the BT engineer found moisture in the small junction box just inside the house, between outside wiring and main socket. He replaced it and connection was fine again, so it might be an idea to check that if you have one.

      Re: Constantly Losing Connection

Thanks for the replies. I will post the router stats when I get the chance.
I don't believe that any wiring was damaged.
The router is connected to the master socket with a filter.
Connected to the filter there is also the sky box and a telephone. Could these cause a problem?
There is also an extension hard wired into the master socket.
The internet light on the router goes out when connection is lost.

You have probably tried this, but go over all your plugs, unplug them then push them back in securely, making sure that they are locked in place.
