can i track disconnections thru sagem router ?

hi, through my sagem router is it possible to see how many times i have lost connection ?, for the first few days on sky i lost connections several times in the day...i think this is now fixed ( with a few alterations my end) but to be sure...can i track this through my router log file & if so what would i be looking for exactly in the details in router log..i am not interested in speeds, line noise etc etc...just like to find out if i am or have lost/suffered internet connection while away from pc ( as the router reconnects automatically i never know if i have or not lost connection while away from pc) many thanks in advance

I don't have the Sagem so can't tell you how to access the log, but would the 'Show Statistics' not tell you how long you have been running?

Re: can i track disconnections thru sagem router ?

It may do, but it may just be the time that the router has been switched on, not necessarily connected to the internet.

If you look at your statistics, it should show you the time that the WAN has been up. You may find that it is different from the System up time.

Re: can i track disconnections thru sagem router ?

      Hi Worcester.
Yes Isitme is right, the LAN is in effect a power on indication. When it comes to WAN, as I have wireless disabled in the set up menu, and my network card powers down each time i close the PC, it indicates how long it has been up for that session. So if you have wireless enabled it should indicate the time between dissconnects. You should get a letter from BT about the pole soon (as will your neighbours)

No Brian, the WAN is the Wide Area Network, the Internet. The wireless uptime is in the WLAN section,

Re: can i track disconnections thru sagem router ?

      Hi Isitme.
Yeah I know but this is how my indications are.
As I would expect, the WLAN section always indicates no time.
LAN seems to indicate power on time
WAN seems to indicate session time ie PC to standby and WAN counter resets to zero.
AT no time has the router lost sync, and internet connection comes up with no delay on resumption.
