Myspace seems to break my Internet?

      Hello,

For some reason, when I'm browsing or uploading Myspace photos for a period of time (as in, 10 minutes or more), my Internet seems to be half-dying. What I mean by that is, MSN/IRC/etc will work fine, but I can't visit websites at all until I restart my router, restart my computer or, at times, both.

I don't know why this is - It only happens when I'm on viewmorepics.myspace.com, and seems to happen on both of my computers, so I don't think it's an issue on just this PC. I'm free of spyware and the like, so yes, I don't know why or how it's happening - It's an odd problem.

Anyone have any ideas what it is or how to fix it? I can't really contact Sky about it because they'll only claim it's an issue with the site and not their problem, or something like that :P

I can't say I've experienced any issue with Myspace - apart from the usual Myspace sluggishness. It would pretty poor if there was a problem accessing Myspace - not least because Myspace and Sky Broadband are owned by the same company.

are you sure its myspace? or do you just only go on myspace...?

if some apps work and others dont, it sounds more likely to be software to me

Are you wireless and do you get the same effect if you try and transfer a large number of small files across your LAN wirelessly? Does the problem disappear with a wired connection? If so then it could be that you are overwhelming a poor wireless connection. When this happens the devices can seem to go into a complete muddle as they are trying to receive and send multiple parts of multiple files which are needing to be resent having been corrupted in transmission.
