      Will it - Won't it - What's my chances

Have read some worrying stuff on this excellent websites forums.

I am beginning to wonder if I have done the right thing. Signed up for Sky Broadband on 9th September, I am migrating from BT Yahoo Broadband and have given Sky my MAC code.

Received one letter on 13th dated the 12th Sept, and then my router on 14th Sept. I then another letter on the 15th dated the 11Th ??. Seems like I received the first letter second. Things seem to be going to plan thus far.

Anyways, one letter states my Sky username and the other tells me that BT have advised them that I will be activated by 21st September (3 Days time).
I cant see nothing on the BT Order Tracker amd considering what I have read about peoples dissapointement...it would seem that I will end up with the same kind of wait as others. I hope its worth it when it arrives, I have this feeling deep down inside that tells me that I shouldn't off bothered jumping ship.

      What d'ya reckon ?

      Trevor

Depends who you ask. I'm glad i changed. The email is a bit ropey, there are no newsgroups and of course you don't get webspace. But if you can live with that and pssible delays getting connected you should be pleased.

      Welcome to the site Trevor

I don't think you have made a bad decision even if there is a slight delay you will still be far better off than you were with BT my activation was delayed by 7 days and now I have it I am over the moon with it.

Good luck and I hope it does all go to plan for you.

Some Advice.. Its always advisable to inform your old ISP as soon as you have migrated that you have moved.

When it works its great. i still have issues dropped from 12mbps to 8 to 6 back to 8 and 10 but we can sort those on here.

Once sky activate you you should be happy.

Yes speeds do tend to fluctuate but then they did that on ISP Stream as well so nothings change in that regard.
