      Download speed suffering

Hey all, i'm having an issue with my connection where the router still connects at the same speed but the download speed has halfed.

The router usually connects at 512kb/sec - 640 kb/sec & is still doing so yet the download speed has majourly slowed down, this has just happend in the last two days & we have had the connection with sky for almost a month now.
Here is a speedtest result showing the problem:

I live pretty far from the exchange and are only just able to receive broadband services, Although for the last 3 weeks or so my connection has been brilliant with no problems up until now.

      Here are the Router statistics:
      System Up Time: 0:52:42

Port Status TxPkts RxPkts Collisions Tx B/s Rx B/s Up Time
      WAN PPPoA 22225 32085 0 2406 29411 0:03:51
      LAN 31948 23093 0 30033 2928 0:52:42
      WLAN 0 0 0 0 0 0:52:20
      ADSL Link Downstream Upstream
Connection Speed 544 kbps 352 kbps
Line Attenuation 63.5 db 31.5 db
Noise Margin 6.2 db 7.0 db
I am aware my Attenuation is sky high due to where i live, but I am wondering why my download speed has dramatically dropped over the last day or two.

Any form of feedback would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

I believe so as i am out of sky broadband network area i was told, so this was the only package i could receive, although i maybe mistaken. If it is something you need to know to try figure it out i shall try find my paperwork.

edit: I am plugged directly into the main phone socket with filters attatched etc.

edit 2: I just checked my phone number in the sky broadband availability checker and this were the result:
You can get Sky Broadband Connect. You have been offered Sky Broadband Connect because you are not in a Sky Broadband network area. You are eligible for a discount on Sky+ or Sky HD boxes if you add Sky Talk. Interested? Call 08706 087 941 for full details on what’s available. Your phone line can support download speeds of up to 512 Kb.

      ok...

as i said, you dont normally see uploads on Connect below the norm so i'd hazard a guess you have a bad line. do you have a test socket you can try?
