      Slight Hiccup!!

All ready to go - well I am, but Sky have not sent me my Username and password in order to connect to their service

Received notification from ADSL24 that BT wholesale that they have now completed the migration away order, but it does seem that I am still connected to them - ADSL24 - at present

It can't be Sky anyway, as I am still connecting through my own Netgear router. I have communicated with Sky concerning the lack of username etc but nothing has arrived, so it seems I could be without BB soon!

Lets hope this is not going to affect my confidence in Sky??

      Any thoughts?

      Re: Slight Hiccup!!

Sky do not send you a username and password for connecting. These details are hard coded into the router. Its just a case of plugging your Sky router in and providing BT have done the work, you will connect no problems, usually.

The only details you will be sent are your sky.com/ email user name and password. Both of these you can get if you call sky and go through to bb tech support, they can tell you your username and then take you through the process of sorting your profile through sky.com registration and then resetting /setting your password.

      Hi Folks
I thought it was for the email system. I did email them again this morning before leaving for work and I asked them to email me with the info, rather than wating for a letter; 2 are supposed to be in the post!!

I was hoping that I may have heard from them when I got home, also not wanting to waste money contacting them right away on the phone

I was wondering, that as I am still connecting using my own router, does this mean BT have not actually changed me over just yet - although ADSL24 seem to think it has happened?

      Thanks for quick response

Try swapping your routers over. That should answer the question if the Sky one connects.

      Hi Ged

This worked after switching routers. Although I am a little puzzled that I was able to connect though my old router, esp after reading some earlier posts,
Does this mean I am definitely on the Sky service?
      thanks

Well I suppose I had better get cracking with email setup etc - daunting thought after reading some of the problems people have been having with this process

Will have to 'bite the bullet' and phone Sky now, in order to get my username and password
What number is best to use to contact them?
      Thanks

Did you choose a username on signup?

If you could log into MySky before, it should be those details, if not follow the advice given by Paul above to get this sorted on the phone.

08705515515 I think would be the best one.

Just to confirm what you are saying Ged

I have registered with MySky and see my account etc, so it would be the same username and password for accessing and setting up email accounts?
