Re: Current Sky Email - *Updated* New Tutorials - January 2008

      Hi

      Thanks for your help

I've set up my main email address by following your very helpful tutorial and it arrives in my outlook 07 inbox OK.

Now I am going to ask a naff question, but how do you set up other alias eg anything@sky, which is different to the main username email address

I tried following the same procedure as the main one

Used the main username@sky.com and password and email was alias@sky.com, but on test it does not work IE failure 550

Also went to sky website and changed pop setting first though

      Am I missing something silly@

      Thanks for help

PS this is not an alternative user setup, but linked to my main username etc

      Update

On testing a new email alias it is successful, but the Outlook inbox records a Notification failure

Hope this helps highlight a mistake I could have made in the setup

Ehh I have just noticed that a test email to a pal has come back to me instead of going to him - very confused now

This was the main username account email address

      Re: Slight Hiccup!!

I think my email problem has been transferred to a different link and I wondered why I was not receiving many replies

Current Sky Email - *Updated* New Tutorials - January 2008

I thought I was relatively prepared for email setup and potential problems, but it seems I was mistaken

Although must say Sky has given me a really smooth migration from my old ISP

      Any advice would be great
      Thanks

what you can do is ask customer services what you email address is and use this to click on 'forgotten password' and create a new one anyway...just remember that the username to log in via the site is without the @sky.com, and with it for use in outlook/etc...
