      Install This Week

Hi im getting by broadband installed this friday i've checked on the BT website and ive been activated. Ive received my email address as well. Is there anything i should look out for or make sure happens when the installer comes on friday. I'm with ntl at the moment so he might have to put a extension into my room will he do this? or will i have to fork out 20 for one of those wireless things for my pc. Thanks Oh yeh and i only live a few metres away from my exchange so i should be getting about 15mb hopefully !

      Welcome to the site nimitron

I think you will find that the Sky installation person will not put any wiring in the house for you all they are they to do is connect the computer to your PC and show you how to use it.

If you want a wireless connection on your PC for Friday you had better go to your local PC World or computer shop and buy one now as you will never have one from Sky before Friday.

Or you will have to have the PC down where the router is installed.

The Ethernet would give you better speed and the usb adaptor, it is easy to setup install the software then plug it in and the PC will see it then just put the password in that you use and it should then connect, you may need to reboot don't remember long time since I installed one.
