      ok then. Will there be a lot of difference as in speed wise im a bit worried now! But then again it would be much easier just to use the usb adapter rather than have the bt line extended upstairs

      Hi just wondering if the sky engineer will have a wireless adapter with him as anyone tried this?

      nah got it free cos im taking up max!
      Will there be alot of difference in the speed between wireless and ethernet?

      Wireless usually travels at 54mbs whereas ethernet data travels at 100mbs

      but will it make any difference as the max can only got to 16mb or am i getting this wrong?

      connection wise i should not think it makes any difference

      If you wanted to transfer files between machines in your house, ie on a network there would be a difference

      Ok thanks well i've just recieved a call from sky to tell me there is a problem with my order as there was a "bug" on there system she was not sure what it was, and whats wrong with my order bit strange she gave me 10 credit and told me she will call back in 48 hours. Ive checked on bt online tracking and it says this:

      so i think my line has been activated. i'm a bit annoyed now since my install is only a few days away and now i don't know whats wrong!
      any idieas on the problem?

      Well i've just got of the phone with thm now and they've told me there is no problem at all and it was all because my activation was delayed by one day! So i'm not sure whats going on but it looks good! Bring on friday!

      hi just to update you all no sign of engineer yet he didnt even call us to say he coming i gave them a ring just now and they said hell be here before 4 fingers crossed!
