just tried to download a file from rapidshare.com and i get a HTTP 500 response but the site works on google cache and on a neibors open wifi (bt) but NOT on my Sky MAX connection, anyone else having this problem?

Well...technically its not a mac its a compaq presario V4215EA Laptop running Mac OS X Leopard 10.5.1 dual boot with XP Media centre (steering clear of vista!)

I have been running Vista from Beta 1 and would not change it for anything, even a MAC

I'm afraid people find it so different from XP(it's more like OSX) that they immediately start looking for faults. The learning curve is more steep than 98 to XP, more like going from Windows to Linux, but it is worth it. It comes out of the box with and excellent Media Centre, ready to play and make DVDs for one thing. I it.

Very bizarre I'm getting the same "HTTP 500 - Internal Server Error" on rapidshare.com. All other sites work OK. I've just checked on my mobile and it browses to rapidshare without any problems through its internet. Quite bizarre - it's obviously an error with Sky/EasyNet.

Is it being blocked by them to curb excessive downloading?

bizarre it's back on now - they must have been quickly covering their tracks! I still don't understand why it was only on my Sky connection this problem.

Sky don't block sites so whatever the problem was it is not down to them blocking it. I something can't get through to the odd site but after a few minutes they usually return, I just put it down to gremlins on the line.

rapidshare.com, not working again!! this is really starting to pee me off...........this is happening more often now.

I've just tried to download some more files from Rapidshare, not working - phoned a mate of mine who's on Sky and he's unable to download from them. Phoned another mate whose got a cable connection, and surprise, surprise - he has just tried to download from rapidshare and yep you've guessed it - it's working!
