1.On your ipod go to the wifi section
2.Where it says choose a network choose other
3.Type in your SSID (should say it on your router)
4.Now press security & choose WPA (might be WEP i forgot what the default is ) then press the Other Network button (top left of the screen) to go back
5.Lastly type in your network key (also on your router) as the password & press join

      Hi Hydro

Could you by any chance do some pictures to accompany the above so we can make a Tutorial?

      Re: ipod touch

MAKE SURE YOU TYPE THE SECURITY KEY IN CAPITALS.

It'll look like you're typing capitals, but if you don't press shift before each letter, you're entering it in lowercase.

finally after playing around with it i got it to work

step1 click on the padlock it will ask you for a password
step2 before you enter your network key you must push the pointy arrow facing upwards before each letter of your net-key
      enjoy

Sorry to raise an old thread but I have just bought a Ipod Touch & I have this problem, I cannot get the Ipod to connect

I know you mean the shift key!, I have tried always that I can think of to get this to work & yes I have input the network key in CAPITALS..
My wireless LED on the router is lit up green, does this mean it is working for sure, anyway to check? my PC is connected by cable & the Ipod is the only wifi piece of equipment that I have, I've been racking my brains & I think that I may have disabled the wifi in the past but how do I tell?..

Edit: My iPod picks up my home network when it scans for local wifi availability so it (my wireless connection on my router) must be switched on

Also to people that have the Touch & Sky what are you using WEP or WPA-PSK?

      Please help!!
