      Or you CAN get the best of both worlds (I believe): Set your PC's NIC to one of the OpenDNS addresses for the first DNS Address and 192.168.0.1 as the second so it uses the router settings if OpenDNS does timeout.

      Unless I'm wrong in which case I am sure someone will tell me in a minute!

      One thing i have noticed though. I dont seem to have trouble with https:// sites , the sucure site seem to work instantly.

      Does anyone else find this as well?

      Have you tried the recommendation to use OpenDNS in your PC? If not you should.

      I dont really understand the DNS of it all.
      Using Sky servers is rather like knocking at the door of a man who is very deaf and so takes a long time to answer the door and sometimes does not even hear the knocking. OpenDNS is like the 10 year old waiting behind the door for Grandma to call with her weekly bag of sweets, who has the door open as soon as it's knocked. Maybe not the best of analogies, but all I can think of at the moment.
