      Welcome to the site Chris

Sorry mate but if what I have read is true then anyone on the Basingstoke exchange is not going to get activated until the problems are fixed by BT.

The thing that really cracks me up is BT know there are serious issues with the exchange and yet they still tell SkyBB that there customers will get connected on x,y and z date, I am beginning to wonder how long BT have known about this.

Some Advice.. Its always advisable to inform your old ISP as soon as you have migrated that you have moved.

Fingers incrediably crossed but now connected to Sky via Basingstoke exchange. The switch took under 5 minutes.

Hope the others get sorted out as well.

      Well that is good news.

As I have been following this thread Hands up if you have 'cabling problems' and there are a lot of unhappy people in it and someone said yesterday that BT said it would be 3 weeks before its fixed. So now I am really confused

Lucky wotsit! Was this your original activation date? and what area are you?

Probably wishful thinking, but I don't suppose this means that the rest of Basingstoke is gonna work!?

      I suppose I was lucky.

The date was for 3rd October and I was having kittens having found this thread as I work from home and loosing broadband would be more than inconvenient.

I live in Lychpit to the North East of the town.

      Hope you get it sorted.

Reason I ask is that I believed my line was activated by Sky on 15/9/06

But I just had a call from them (i tried to cancel) telling me that it is due to be done 6/10/06

My old ISP is not giving me the service so who is ?
I was PROVIDEd on Thursday and should be CEASEd on Tuesday. Meantime my old ISP is working. I am dreading the cease date as I cant imagine it going smoothly.

BTW can anyone else use an apostrophe? It brings up the search window when I try.

It works while I'm at home. Must just be something dodgy with my work PC.
