Still getting a lousy connection and a noisy telephone line during calls.

Below are my stats which is configured as follows:
      Connect package.
Adsl filter(new)plugged into test socket,(face plate not connected)
Router and wired phone(new) plugged into this.
      No extensions whatsoever.
Below is the test socket stats and below these are the stats from the extension last night. Is it possible to look at these and report any findings?

not sure what you mean about "got conected", what should what you should have got was a voice giving you options, then press 2 (quiet line test) and listen to see if you can hear any hiss/pops/crackles

edit: above test should be done from the test socket

      Re: Noise Margin excessivly high???

In my experience I have always found it quicker to call BT and report a line fault on their voice product. Dont mention ADSL at all what ever you do, cause it has been known that the minute you mention ADSL they basically telly ou they cannot help anymore.

So I call up and report a fault and they basically test the line for you and let you know when their expected fix by date is.

Annoyed me though as the fix by date was 3 days later but then it took them 3 weeks to get out and fix it

Unusual, but it may be to your advantage as BT are more likely to run tests during the day. As HS says, Don't mention Broadband or you will be given the brush off.

      Re: Noise Margin excessivly high???

well i called sky broadband cs and got straight to tier 3.Nice man tested line and said he could see that my bandwidth has changed in the last week from 1200kbps to 135kbps.
He did a few more tests and called me back 10mins later and told me BB is ok so must be telephone side.He said he would arrange for a bt engineer to come out to me.
My wife listened to line today and it was ok but at 12.00pm it was back to the usual noise and i still the same as i write.

One thing i have noticed is the dialing tone sounds more like an engaged tone rather than a constant tone you normally get! any ideas??
