waiting for a mythical phone call

      Hi all,

I was wondering if anybody has any tips on how to collect any meaningful information that would be useful to SKY CS staff and possible twist their arm into doing something . I am a paitent person, and would consider myself to be a kind and gentle soul, and i don't do angry very well.

I don't want to waste my energy talking to frontline staff, who through no fault of theirs, haven't got any answers, but my patience is wearing a little thin.

I take it all the lights are on on the router that should be on if so you need to call Tech Support or Provisioning and explain it to them as its very possible BT have not informed Sky that the work is complete.

Some Advice.. Its always advisable to inform your old ISP as soon as you have migrated that you have moved.

No internet light. If BT had done the work, would the modem try to connect anyway but then fail. This would be my first experience with broadband, having used various PC's and games consoles over the last 20 years, I tend to learn by doing but so far can't do SKY BB

if the bt work is done, i assume that when you login to the router it would show that it is synchd at the exchange. it would show this with a connection speed.

After speaking to tech support yesterday morning I was put on hold,so the tech could talk to her manager, and I was told the inevitable, theres a tag on the line , you have to speak too BT , we can't.

I explaned that I had already been informed by BTw that there weren't any tags or markers on the line, which has never had any type of ADSL before. But the previous answer was just repeated.

I can't be bothered too kick up a stink on the phone, nor should I have to, so letter writing and emails it will be then

.I hope sibodg won't mind me using his email as a template Aaaarg! Still no activation!!!!

It's a shame that most of Sks's CS staff are decent enough people, but are told too misinform the public, which just creates a merry go around of blame and which leads to inaction and still no solution insight.
