      10-day period ?

I got my MID packaged activated on friday evening. I am connected at 3.6mb and getting over 400kb download speed.

I hear of a 10-day period that has something to do with the speed? Will my line get faster?

There is no 10 day training period on the Mid package, only the BT rebranded Connect package has this.

Your SNR (Signal to noise ratio). When the router Syncs at a lower speed your SNR will go up. Try posting your STATS have you got the V1 white router? Or the new black ones? Details Modem statics on the link below.

once there servers are back up, copy and paste your old stats here
(it may be that your line has a massive fault, but lets wait and see the stats)

Do you live in a mobile home ? Barring the fault rich has talked about the only way your att will change is if you move closer to the exchange. It would change by a couple of db if you were put on adsl2+ but thats not going to happen.

Is that straight line distance? If so in reality it could be up to twice that - which your att, if correct, suggests.
