      Question Netgear 834g Set Up

      I have got my own Netgear 834G 54Mbps wireless ADSL Modem router. ( Not supplied by sky, bought it myself and used with another isp ) I am on the sky mid package and my line is active.
      Can anyone tell me if it is possible on how to set up the router to work with skybroadband?

      you can't...plus its in the T&Cs of Sky BB that you use their equipment

      you must have been supplied with a sky router/adsl model, which model did you get?

      I have got the latest sagem router sky are sending out.
      But I would like to set up my own netgear router, is it possible?

      Your Netgear router will need a connection username and password. Sky don't tell its customer what they are - they're embedded in the Sky router. Until someone finds out how to "crack" the Sagem router and extract the username and password from it, I'm afraid there's no way you can use your own router.
