Re: Please Help...been like this for months

The 15.5db bug is back again so reboot needed. But as I said before if you are 100% sure your neighbours are getting much better then its either the line is faulty despite what BT say, or your cable takes the long long way round to the exchange. 63db means a very very long cable or a cable with a poor connection somewhere along it.

BT will probably only do basic tests on a first check, ie yes there is connection between you and the exchange and voice calls are working! But if this is a fault it will probably need more in depth investigation. You might have to log the fault via Sky because if you tell BT you have problems with Sky broadband they wont be interested.

noise margin has increased a little but not enough to get a lot more out of your connection - prob 2Mbps at best...plus the '15.5' bug has showed again...

Re: Please Help...been like this for months

Thats where it gets sticky you need to convince them there is a fault on your line, best way probably is to blag it and say a neighbour 5 doors down is with sky and getting much better speeds. You have taken your computer to there house and you get the same speeds as they do so it cant be the computer at fault, hopefully they will buy it and log a call with BT for you.

Anyway got to go to bed, good luck mate.
