Question Sky Connect V mid BB service

      Hi all
      Noobie alert!!
I'm just slightly confused. I got my e-mail with a BAND number and also got my MAC code from BT.
I phoned to order the Max service only to be told that the only service I could have was the Sky Connect with the Max service following in "a few months".

Is Connect a different technology to the new Sky Broadband offerings? As I understand it my exchange is LLU enabled which made me think I was OK.

What sort of speeds does Connect provide? I was told that the download speed was the same as BB mid i.e up to 8MB with 40Gb download limit.

As it's still cheaper than I'm paying for BT I'm going to go ahead but I don't want to make a rod for my own back!

      thanks in advance

Yes thats ISP Stream MAX Adsl which is BT's equipment and is upto 8MB where as all the other options are on Easynet LLU upto 16MB

If you would like to do a l;little lite reading you can get a lot of info from Kitz site

      Good luck with your order

Some Advice.. Its always advisable to inform your old ISP as soon as you have migrated that you have moved.

I'm pretty much in the same situation but bt never did give me the free upgrades so i'm really ****** of with them still on 1mb even though line tests tell me i can get 2.5.
What really annoys me more im paying 29 for the privlage to bt anyway as for speeds i think most ppl will tell you the same as bt depends on your distance to the exchange.
from what i read you might get some delays but its a new thing so you will have to put up with that.
      good luck, mike
