      @bertaird
      8mb and Im only on mid.
      Your upload figure of 448 indicates that you are on Connect. You will not be able to go on Mid or Max until spaces are available in your exchange. With an attenuation of 40 dbs., I have to doubt you would be any better off, speedwise, on Max.

      You should remember that your line is training for the first 10 days, you could do no better than read this Plusnet Guide to Boadband ADSLMax, you will get nothing from Sky. This applies to all new Connect customers.

      It is good to see Sky are finally taking notice

      Re: I am new to sky and on connect is 288 kbps u/s and d/s normal?

      There should be no need to wait 10 days for a 'fault' like this. As I pointed out before, when your line is eventually connected properly you will then start another 10 day training period. If anything is wrong during this period, you will be told to wait another 10 days.

      Phone Sky and try to get through to the CST, most of them will understand the problem and take steps to correct it, within 5 days, according to other posts.

      There must be a foolproof way to get put through to CST, if only someone knew it.

      I just been onto sky, and they said that the max my line can support is half a meg??!! Thats pointless having! She said there was no one available in CST, and to ring back tomorrow - is there any point??!

      Re: I am new to sky and on connect is 288 kbps u/s and d/s normal?

      Waynemoggie......keep phoning .....read the posts previous...I mean all of them.....2 days after I got connected I started phoning and emailing....that was on 10 th jan...now 18 days later the problems just been sorted
      Dont have any numbers for cst just the 08705 515 515 and took it from there
      Even emailed the boss of sky James Murdocj and got a reply back today saying someone will be in touch because of the nightmare trying to use skys service centres ... 3 different levels

      My final piece of advice......tell them your line needs regraded....or at least get them to check what you are connected on at the exchange...chances are like me youll need to go on to adsl max which Im now on......big difference even though its still connect

      Good luck

      2 levels now, tier 1 and CST, and only CST will have ANY idea what you're on about...and even then it's luck
