      Hi all, I've had sky broadband connect for just over a month now. Originally ordered the Max but apparently the Poplar exchange is full so got put on the connect until they have space for Max. I too am getting the 288 d/s and u/s. Details as below;

      Port Status TxPkts RxPkts Collisions Tx B/s Rx B/s Up Time
      WAN PPPoA 958 633 0 534 135 0:01:24
      LAN 955 604 0 2998 3430 0:02:15
      WLAN 912 1118 0 201 646 0:01:53
      ADSL Link Downstream Upstream
      Connection Speed 288 kbps 288 kbps
      Line Attenuation 54.0 db 30.5 db
      Noise Margin 23.8 db 18.0 db

      Sky did advise at the time that I woudl be able to get up to 8mbs but after a phone call last night advised that I the max my line could support was 1.5mbs. I to have tested this multiple times from the master socket and this is a constant.

      Just wanted to clarify. Regardless if i am on the connect package am i able to able to get this improved or am I stuck with what they have stated until I get 'upgraded'?

      Thanks in advance for any help

      If you have looked through this thread you will realize that you are on the wrong product. You should phone Sky and insist that they get BT to put you on the correct product immediately. Do not take no for an answer and demand that you be passed to a supervisor or manager if they do not agree to investigate your complaint.

      The bad news is that with your attenuation you will not get a very high speed, between 3 and 4 mb is about as much as you can expect. You may want to consider whether you want to go on Max, you will not gain anything in speed, only the download amount. If you don't have a need for unlimited download, Mid would be your best bet.
