      Hello everyone.

      First of all, thankyou all for your helpfulness and sorry for this late reply! I just didnt want to jump the gun. Anywho, I disabled UPnP, and the internet doesn't cut out anywhere near as much as it was before! So thats good.

      There are internet cut outs every now and then, here and there, but the net soon resolves itself and comes back within 10-15 minutes. I'm assuming this is normal? Is it due to the noise on my line?

      Internet download speeds are still somewhat random during all hours. Could this also be due to the noise on my line?

      I shall endeavor to reduce the noise you guys have pointed out by putting micro-filters on the phone sockets and Digibox, as suggested.

      Cheers i look forward to your replies!

      Noise on line or interference of any kind on the line will impact your adsl signal.

      If you have got ANYTHING plugged into your telephone line directly without an ADSL filter then your broadband connection will suffer. That is why Sky supply 3 filters with the router.

      Gah!!!

      This is DRIVING ME MAD!

      I have tried everything. Thought it was settling down, but the last month or so, its been terrible, back to its old ways!

      However, here are some things i have discovered;

      I do a lot of online gaming, and connect to services such as Xfire/MSN, Ventrilo, or even the online service that a game may provide. Here's the weird thing. These services, such as MSN/Xfire, still work when my connection is supposedly gone. If i am in a game, playing online, and i only MINIMIZE that game while still remaining logged in, i can play it all day/all night. The minute i close that game and/or any of these other services and then try to RECONNECT, it prevents me and says i have no connection! ... So what is up with that?

      The way i test to see if my connection is working is by simply opening up Firefox or Internet Explorer and seeing if they can get to google or any other page. Most of the time they can't, since most of the time this crappy net never works, however, if i log into any of these services pre-cutouts i can remain in them till the net just magically comes back (sometimes doesnt even require a router reset).

      Essay over, does this actually mean anything? Is my router (or something) just suddenly preventing any out-going connections or something? Can anyone shed some light on this? I just want a stable freakin interent for longer than an hour.

      Thanks in advance.
