BT voyager 220V on Sky BB Max

Hi I just installed a BT Voyager 220V on my sky BB line. After the BT router I have installed a wireless router netgear as the BT one doesnt have wireless. The thing is they comunicate each other perfectly and I can surf the net faster than before. Now my problem is when I try to connect with a ftp client for example it doesnt allow me to do it, I cant measure my line speed in any speed tester I tryed those two (Speedtest.net - The Global Broadband Speed Test & resources.zdnet.co.uk/speedtest/ ) because it get stuck when trying to measure the upstream. The dowsntream is ok and I can see the result.

Im sure the problem is in the bt router cos when I connect the voyager strait away to my pc still having the same problem

Does any one had the same problem? It could be a matter of port forwarding? May be the firewall Im using (sygate) or the router firewall? It is just when uploading or trying to measure the upstream.

I can send all the necessary information if someone knows how to help me

      Thanks in advanced and regards

Re: BT voyager 220V on Sky BB Max

I changed it because the contection was droping off all the time and very unstable. My router was a netgear DG834gt the second one in two months from sky. At the beginning my connection was perfect no problems at all, since two months ago starts dropping off and very slow (first problems with my downstream with the first router and now with the upstream second router), the noise is in the right level, but looks like the router is not the best one. As soon as I changed the modem router my problems are gone with the stabilty of the conection, but i cant upload anything it looks like my outgoing conection is looked by the router or firewall software (ill try today to unnistall it)

Btw does anyone have problem with the Putney Exchange?

      Thanks for the swift reply
