      Re: Broadband connection speed

Nine times out of ten, when people have problems with their broadband connection that seems to be associated with their telephone (broadband disconnecting when making a phone call, that kind of thing), it's down to a problem with a microfilter, either failing to use a microfilter on every extension (including the Sky TV box), or a a faulty microfilter.

It looks like Sky have "capped" your connection very severely - this is where they configure their equipment so that it forces your router to use a lower speed than it otherwise would have used.

You need to remedy whatever it is that is causing the problem, and then report back to Sky, telling them that you've fixed the line and they will then lift the cap.

      Re: Broadband connection speed

Yep you'll probably need to call T1 for troubleshooting on slow connection. They will then get you through to CST for a speed and config ticket and if you were capped the cap will be looked at and removed.
