Moving house & leaving VM :)

      Lo all. 1st Post.

I'll be new to ADSL (had cable for years) and I've looked through many posts on siting the router, changing the master faceplate & getting maxdelay set down to 8 among others. I'm 1.3km (crow flies) from my exchange.

As it's a newbuild I'm moving into, will there be any advantage in the lines to the house being new?

Edit: I know they won't be new all the way to the exchange, only to the local cabinet.

doubt it but in theory the line should have an NTE5 socket...

But do you get less noise from a new line than you would on one that's 10 - 20 years old?
