      Exclamation Unstable line

      Hi,

      This has been going on for aegis, my broadband is always unstable and always dropping off and cutting out. i've read a few threads and see alot of people have a similar problem. Heres my stats:

      I can't tell what any of it means, but i know somethings wrong.

      From the stats you posted you appear to have a very noisy line. As with the majority of the other posts you've seen, nothing to do with Sky. You'll have to sort it out yourself.

      To start the process off please describe how your router is connected to your phone line (extension, splitters, other devices etc) and your full stats (assuming you have the white router).

      Next up post your simple stats with a test socket connection (assuming you have an NTE5).

      You'll find the info on how to get detailed stats in the router stats forum and info on diagnosing line problems in the cabling and faceplate help forum. You already know how to get your simple stats as you've posted them for your normal connection.

      Hi C,

      Ever since I joined SKY and moved of the BT kit (I was with PIPEX) onto the old Easynet (Now SKY) LLU kit my broadband was always unstable and always dropping off and cutting out. I got REALLY cheesed off with removing power from the back of the Netgear DG834GT to reset the line.
      Are you running a Netgear DG834GT like I was? I've swapped to a Speedtouch 585 v6 and I don't have one single problem. Seems that at certain distances from the Exchange the DG834Gt can become unstable.

      Are you able to borrow/loan a speedtouch to try?
