Sky Broadband Cut Over Today - Great!

I ordered SKY BB MAX to replace my BT Broadband.

      - Router arrived within a week or so.
      - Sky seemed to think I was expecting it earlier and gave me a first month free for some reason.
      - Got a letter saying BT was to xfer the account to Sky on the 15th
      - On the 16th my broadband service stopped
      - I unplugged my current DSL modem/router and plugged in the Sky one
      - I logged on to the Sky (Netgear) router and changed the LAN address ranges to match my old set up
      - Bingo - according to adslguide.org I'm getting >10Mbps down and >600K up

I can still access my BT email addresses via outlook.

I'm currently trying a bttorrent and it's chugging away at 200KBps.

I can access cnn.com (seemed to be an issue for others)

I haven't logged on to Sky's site or run the CD software they sent.

I've disabled the WiFi on the Sky router so I can carry on using the WiFi hub I have up in the attic.

Port forwarding on the Sky router seems easy - just set up a service for the port range then add a firewall rule.

What else can I say? It's all switched over perfectly.

      Rgds

Some Advice.. Its always advisable to inform your old ISP as soon as you have migrated that you have moved.
