      Re: Fastpath or interleaved

So far no-one's found out a way of doing this with the new black routers. But Sky always puts its broadband customers on interleaved. They have been known to reduce the interleave delay (thus reducing the interleave depth), but as far as I know, they never put people on fastpath, except by accident.

      Re: Fastpath or interleaved

I found that when I phoned UKOnline(Easynet) they could swap me from fast to interleave without a problem. Of course as u know, sky is part of easynet and they use the same helpdesk systems etc... so maybe if u phone them up u cud speak to them

      Re: Fastpath or interleaved

As James says they wont intentionally put you on fastpath. Reductions in ping have resulted from having the interleave delay reduced - if thats what you are after.

i got onto fastpath, because you cant have reduced max delays on sky bb connect, but i dont think it was meant to happen

      Re: Fastpath or interleaved

Connect does use Fast, as it's BT service and they set it....the LLU service doesn't offer it

      Re: Fastpath or interleaved

when i was on ukonline upto 24mbit service they wouldnt and couldnt put me onto fast path they said it was against there procedures but we could lower the max delays which was fair enough
they could put u on fast path on there upto 8 mbit service but anything higher and they said that it would make the lines very unstable

after the 24mbit connection i then went for there 16/1 connection and th same rules applied on that aswell
