Anyone know when it resets to the right speed? It's the 1st and I'm still being throttled at 160kbps

      Re: Monthly Usage

      lumoruk,

What date is your normal billing date? By this I mean when you would be provided with your statement, not when your DD would come out?

This would be the normal date on which your usage should be reset, but again it may require a call to the unknown to make it happen.

      Re: Monthly Usage

24th is my bill date, no way did I use 40GB in 3 days!!! by the way why's your speed so slow? Max average I had before this problem was 4829 kb/s down, 356kb/s up

Sorry just looked at it again, apparently bill date is 24th but actual billing dates for subscriptions is 7th - 6th...does that make better sense of my situation?

      Re: Monthly Usage

Yes, with your billing date being the 6th-7th of the month this should be when you would expect to see your usage being reset.

As for me seeing slow speeds, this is not at all the case. You see speedtest.net display your speed by default as kb/s which can be misleading. There are two kinds. There is kilobit per second and then there is kilobyte per second.

kilobit is more commonly displayed as kbps instead of what speedtest.net display it is (kb/s) where as kilobyte is more commonly displayed as either Kb/s or kB/s.

You do have the option within speedtest.net to change this so you get the reading of what you should see your downloads as...

      Re: Monthly Usage

Thanks for the info regards to the speed... by being throttled I'm getting 16.1kB/s (129 kb/s) if your's is in bytes should it not be the capital B in your image or is it produced by speedtest.net?

      Re: Monthly Usage

It can be either way to be fair, I have always used a capital K instead of B for reasons beyond my own comprehension.
