Most curious. You're getting a good sync speed for Sky Broadband Mid (in fact, that's probably the maximum), you've got a very low attenuation and a very comfortable noise margin. That broadband connection should be working really.

I'd have said that the problem is down to wireless networking, but clearly you're not using wireless, you're using Ethernet. I'm really puzzled by this one.

Have you tried resetting the router to factory settings? I have in the past had the odd occurance where my connection speed has slowed down beyond all belief. After many headaches, Phone calls, patch cables etc etc I reset the router to factory settings...and what did I know it was fine again.

But it definately sounds like you have a bottleneck somewhere

And again another suggestion, although I am sure you have ruled this out already - I'm just asking as there is no mention of it, have you tried alternative filters?

And I also agree that this is very curious as well as odd.

In fact, since you've had a BT engineer in recently, you probably have an NTE5 master socket - the kind where you can remove the lower half of the faceplate, revealing a test socket. Try things with just your router plugged into that test socket, via a microfilter, with no telephone connected.

That comfortable noise margin makes me think that the broadband connection should be working really well, but it's worth eliminating the obvious issues.
