    Just connected and i'm pulling my hair out!

      No it wasn't. But I have now had a chance to try the test socket and it's connecting at 2560 kbps with up upstream of 416 kbps and it's stable! This must mean there is something wrong with the wiring inside the master socket right?

      Even still, it's still nowhere near as fast as I'd expect. My old ISP used to give me 3500kbps and before I tried the test socket it was connecting at around 4500kbps with sky. Granted that a stable 2500kbps is better than an unusable 4500kbps that I cant even use but i've rebooted the router 3 times now and its connected with exactly the same down/up stream almost as if it's been capped.
