Roll on SKY!!! New Sagem Router

Hello guys. Just had my sky BB activated and i am chuffed to bits. Coming from Virgin CrapMedia with their up to 20 kilobit service (i know its supposed to be megabit but who's seen that?. I have been running some speed tests now and i am on solid 14MB down and about 600KB up. Which i am very happy with. Now some information about the new router. It works perfect with wireless but i had to change the channel on the wireless from auto to 11 which increased my signal from 55% to 89%!!!! The only thing that worries me a bit is my downstream noise margin. Here are my statistics. What do you guys think? Is there a way to increase my downstream noise margin?

      ADSL Link Downstream Upstream
Connection Speed 16379 kbps 764 kbps
Line Attenuation 22.5 db 11.1 db
Noise Margin 7.3 db 17.0 db

P.S. My line length is 1km.

As you have had a new master socket fitted your wiring is likely to be OK, but it would not hurt to try plugging into the test socket behind the master socket faceplate. Try it there and take your stats, if there is an improvement, then you may benefit from fitting an ADSL faceplate.

Did you try all the wireless channels, if not you may even find a better one.

Actually i didn't try all the wireless channels as i read here that most people put it on 11 and is working fine. And to be honest i will not be running it wireless. I will use ethernet for maximum security. The router anyway is only about 6 feet from the computer so running a cable will nit be a problem for me.
