      Moving house, but keeping number

I'm likely to be moving house at the end of December/beginning of January - However, I'd like this to be painless from the Broadband side..

We are moving about 500 yards, and are keeping the same telephone number when moving...

Is there anything I should do to ensure that this works with the minimum possible disruption?

      Thanks

      Andy

You should have a look HERE it seems there is a dedicated team for house moves. It would be better to speak to them. Try to get the name of the advisor you speak to, it may help if you have future problems. If it were me, I would also record all my conversations, Sky are supposed to do this, so they should have no objection to you doing it.

There is indeed a house moves team, make sure you are clear when you tell them what is happening, what you want to happen to your connection and also make sure they are aware of what dates are involved. At the end of the call make it very clear that they are to do nothing until the correct date as some people have found themselves ceased early after ringing to enquire.
